Know when to reseal your stone

Natural stone needs to be resealed every two to three years in order to protect it from stains. Have you asked yourself, "How do I know when I need to reseal my stone countertop, floor, or shower?" This simple Water Drop Test can help you find out!

Water Drop Test

​

1. Drop a teaspoon of water on the surface of the stone.

2. Leave the water for 15 minutes.

Results:

 If the stone absorbs the water making the area dark, then resealing is needed! 

 If after 15 minutes, the water is still there, dry it with a rag. If it is sealed, it will not leave a visible wet area.
